General description:

The universal load carrier system specially designed for the VITO/VIANO tailgate is a practical solution. Thanks to 4 vertical aluminum anchoring rails, a load of up to 50 kg can be easily secured and transported.

By adding an optional spare wheel carrier, you can carry a spare wheel safely on the tailgate. No need to remove it in the event of a puncture, which is particularly practical. Please note, however, that large offroad wheels will no longer fit under the vehicle.

The extra weight can make opening the tailgate more difficult, but by adding optional gas springs, you can ensure that the tailgate stays open despite the extra weight.

Installation:

Fastening is by means of screws: at the top, the load carrier is fastened to the original tapped holes in the hinges. At the bottom, three holes are drilled per side (approx. 7 mm in diameter). This means that the tailgate can be removed at any time, and is therefore considered a load in the eyes of the law. Detailed installation instructions are included in the kit. Installation takes around 180 minutes. As a matter of principle, installation should only be carried out in a specialist workshop by qualified personnel.

By mounting the load carrier with the spare wheel, the vehicle length increases by around 27 cm. (The measurement is taken from the bumper without theTow Bar, depending on the size of the spare wheel). The rear wiper (using a 638/2 brush holder) remains functional.
