Patina appearance:

REDCOR® steel is expected to take on a rusty color and patina. This is the desired look and finish for this material and there is no need to resort to warranty. The steel was specifically chosen for this purpose. Some customers may be concerned, but this is the look and finish we were looking for. The patina will give the brazier extra protection and keep it in good condition for years to come.

General maintenance and safety measures :

Once you're done camping, always make sure your embers are extinguished by dousing them with plenty of water. Do not bury embers in the ground as this can allow them to burn for a long time. Keep your fire safe and consult your local municipality or national park service for good fire practices and any restrictions or guidelines on the use of braziers in your area. Cleaning the brazier is nice and easy, but do not use chemicals. A high-pressure water jet is optimal for cleaning your brazier. Note: it will remove the patina and it will become quite uneven. It will take time to regain its patina. Always dry your brazier and do not store it while still wet. Air dry it thoroughly before storing it. Following the simple steps outlined above will allow you to use your brazier for many years.
